TELEMEDICINE

APPOINTMENT

Veterinary care from the comfort of your home!

To be eligible for a telemedicine consultation a pet must have a standing Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship with Brandt Veterinary Clinic. This means an animal must have had a physical exam performed by a Brandt Veterinary Clinic doctor within the last year.

Examples of telemedicine consultations include:

General medical concerns
Behavioral questions
Questions regarding medications
Nutrition consultations
Long-term monitoring
Quality of life discussions
Sneezing/reverse sneezing
Travel-related questions
Parasites seen in the stool
Weight management

Any medical emergencies such as seizures, respiratory distress, trauma, collapse, etc. should not be scheduled as virtual visits. They should be seen on an emergency basis as hospital visits.

The Telemedicine consultation costs the same as a physical exam, and is charged in 15-minute increments. Pre-payment for the initial 15 minutes is required at the time of scheduling. Each additional 15-minute increment will be billed at the end of the consultation. If it is determined that your pet needs to come into the clinic for a physical exam after the virtual visit, you will not be charged an additional exam fee if your pet is seen within 7 days of the virtual visit by the same doctor. If it has been longer than 7 days, a regular exam fee will be charged.
